2009 Homecoming Edinburgh
and Clan Gathering

As many Members are aware, there is to be a Gathering of the Clans in Edinburgh from 24th – 26th July, 2009, to celebrate the year of Homecoming Scotland. The Clan Gregor Society will be taking part in this unique event and we need to know, now, if you wish to register for a place at the Gathering in Edinburgh and a place on our own Gathering which will follow events in Edinburgh. We plan to start proceedings on Friday, 24th July, in Edinburgh and have our ‘Grand Finale’ in Stirling the following weekend.

Accommodation is already exceedingly difficult to find, so it is imperative that we act immediately to secure our places. In Edinburgh, at Pollock Halls, we have reserved 30 twin rooms (en suite) at £103 per night and 30 single rooms at £42 per night (none en suite) for the nights of 24th, 25th and 26th July – B. & B. only. These rooms are being held by Cashel Travel and, to avoid disappointment, we advise Clan Members to book online immediately ( www.casheltravel.com ) indicating that they are with Clan Gregor. Payment is required at the time of booking and it is advisable to book a Silver passport at the same time before they go on general sale early next year. Passports are required for seating at the Castle Esplanade.

Bed and Breakfast en suite accommodation has been reserved in the Andrew Stewart Halls on the Campus of the University of Stirling, the most beautiful Campus in Scotland, from 27th July through to 2nd August, departing on the morning of Monday, 3rd August circa 0930 hours. A 25% deposit will be requested on receipt of your registration at which time a room will be allocated to you. This deposit will be non-returnable irrespective of the reason for default so it is essential that you take out your own full travel insurance. The final payment, which will be advised at a later date, must be paid by 31st March 2009. Prices to be advised. Please note that the majority of rooms here are single.
